The YOU(th) CARE Project

The YOU(th) CARE for Change is a project co-funded by the EU-DEAR Programme, supporting Youths across 12 countries (8 in the EU and 4 extra EU, in the Med Area) in tackling global challenges. From December 2023 to March 2027, it aims to support the engagement of nearly 300 Youth groups who are interested in embracing, sharing and re-framing the CARE for people and the planet.

Spanning generations, the CARE approach underscores the interdependencies between realities, global challenges, and macro-micro actions, allowing us to connect the dots of our initiatives globally, in contrast to the extractive and often destructive logic of the market.

The Project will organize online and on-site trainings exploring interdependencies, climate change, human rights and intersectionality, and strengthening our gender perspective. Hundreds of youth aged 14 to 25 will access the YOU(th) CARE Campus, conceived as a platform to design the CARE Toolkit collaboratively. The toolkit will guide youth groups and learning communities in elaborating territorial agendas which will become actions which can be supported by the project through sub-granting and not only: learning initiatives, alternative economic actions, and campaigns at the territorial, national and mediterranean level.

The YOU(th) CARE Campus

The YOU(th) CARE team is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Online YOU(th) CARE Campus on CARE for the FUTURE beginning in September and running till early November!

The programme will explore the topic of Collective and community-based Care through stories of activism, intersectional engagement, strategic interdependence to approach global challenges such as climate change, gender rights, citizenship rights and to fight for a fairer, sustainable, and more inclusive society.

The care calls us to think interdependencies as strengths, not weaknesses, in building new collective and communities where the persons come before the profits and work together to activate innovative and wonderfully promiscuous solutions where everybody has citizenship. This means elaborating new agendas, actions and collective projects where CARE is the common paradigm, and not just a (private) service.

Join us for this online series, as we balance a mix of theoretical and practical approaches through stories and case studies, so as to explore care in all its dimensions, as both a political and collective endeavour.

The Programme

The sessions will be on Tuesdays, from 5,30 to 7,30 PM (CET) and in English. To facilitate the accessibility of the sessions, materials will be shared in other languages, and interactive rooms during the sessions will be organised during the various sessions.

The Campus will be divided into 2 sessions:

the YC Pre- Campus on the CARE Dimensions (in collaboration of the CARE Collective)
the YC Campus on the collaborative construction of CARE toolkit and Agendas for YOUTH Initiatives
